Hi, I'm Tim, a product designer and product manager with 10 years of experience designing and engineering electric bikes and outdoor gear. I have a unique blend of engineering know-how, design thinking, and business insight. My greatest strength is my ability to wear many hats, and I have a talent for creating effective forms of visual communication. I am passionate about understanding how things work and incorporating new technology tools to find innovative solutions. I value creating, collaborating and working in team settings.

My journey began at UC Merced, where I received a degree in engineering and explored design through courses in 3D design, art, and architecture. After graduating, I dove into entrepreneurship, running a photo booth company and gaining valuable experience in small business management.  I then transitioned into product design, working for over a decade in the e-bike and micro-mobility industry across Asia, Europe, and North America.

My expertise includes:

• Product Development: With a focus on user experience (UX)
• Technical Skills: 3D CAD modeling, product management, manufacturing, graphic design
• Key Strengths:  Team collaboration, visual communication and a knack for quickly mastering new software

My impact: 

• Eurobike Gold Award (2015): Engineered and managed the development of the first to market longtail cargo bike with a mid-drive electric motor.
• Innovative Cargo Designs: Set the benchmark for various cargo accessory categories such as passenger handles, weather protection for rear-seated passengers and passenger safety on longtail cargo bikes.
• Best Seller: Designed Yuba's highest volume cargo bike model, demonstrating a clear understanding of customer needs and market trends.

Beyond Design:

When I'm not immersed in product development, you'll find me on bikepacking adventures or exploring in my self-converted van – these experiences often fuel my creativity.  I also love creating and editing videos.
